Christopher Bremble

Founder and CEO

Base Media

Chris Bremble is the Founder and CEO of Base Media. His career in film industry began in 1994 at University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts, where he received his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts for Screenwriting.
His 1998 short film, The Clock, of which he was both writer and producer, was selected to compete in the Cannes International Film Festival. In 2000, Chris made the transition from writer to writer/director with the film Rocket’s Red Glare. His second film, Deep Rescue, brought him to Beijing in 2005 as director, where he founded Base FX to complete the film’s visual effects.  Chris received an Emmy Award in 2010 for Outstanding Visual Effects for a Movie or Miniseries with Base FX’s work on HBO’s The Pacific. His team went on to win two more Emmy Awards with Boardwalk Empire and Black Sails. In Asia, Chris and Base FX‘s accolades include Best Visual Effects from the Hong Kong Film Awards to Monster Hunt in 2016. In 2017, Chris founded Base Animation in Xiamen and Kuala Lumpur. Wish Dragon, their first IP Animation feature was developed and released in theaters. The film, shortlisted for the 2021 Academy Awards also premiered on Netflix and finished as the #4 film on the platform for the year. Chris heads 450 talented visual effects and animation artists across Beijing, Xiamen, Wuxi, Kuala Lumpur and Los Angeles.

Frank Yu has worked in various animation, gaming, production, and software companies both domestically and internationally. In recent years, he has been involved in research on various virtual production processes, execution of virtual human and virtual production projects, technical coordination, curriculum planning, and education training.

Over 20 years experience working on live action, and feature animation, with studios such as Industrial Light & Magic, Framestore, Animal Logic, Base FX and DNEG.  Gavin's credits include projects such as, The Avengers, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, The Golden Compass, Inkheart and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.   As Previs Supervisor, Gavin has been focusing on building top previs teams internationally. His recent work includes the Fengshen Trilogy, Monster Hunt, Crazy Alien, Chinatown Detective 2 and, The Wandering Earth. Gavin is currently the Global Head of Previs for REDEFINE, a parent company of DNEG.

Tsuyoshi Takizawa

Initially becoming involved in production through acting work as a student, Tsuyoshi began working for ROBOT after working as a director's apprentice in 1997. Tsuyoshi continued to work on the production of TVCs and branded content for a large variety of clients centered on the automobile and beauty industries. In 2007 Tsuyoshi created ROBOT's International Division to take ROBOT's craftsmanship to the world, and in 2015 he added brand adaptation and transcreation to his portfolio. Tsuyoshi continues to create content with a focus on forming increasingly deep relationships with brands.
